Xopt
****
* Download or clone from `github <http://www.github.com/hokru/xopt>`_.
* read ``INSTALL`` file and set compiler in Makefile
* run ``make`` and copy binary ``xopt`` to a location declared in ``$PATH``.

xopt.pgrad
**********
* enter ``pgrad/`` and modify the Makefile for an openmpi compilation
* run ``make`` and copy binary ``xopt.pgrad`` to a location declared in ``$PATH``.

optional

* setup up the ``$HOME/.xoptrc`` file for customization
